NGOCSD-NY/MUN4SDGs ACTION TEAMS PROGRAMME

A Programme of the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development – New York

The NGO Committee on Sustainable Development – New York (NGOCSD-NY)/MUN4SDGs Action Teams Programme aims to support the development of action solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 SDGs and 169 Targets, with a focus on “Leaving No One Behind,” by empowering MUN groups to build partnerships within their MUNs at the primary, high school and university levels. 

Through this Programme, the NGOCSD-NY will encourage MUNs and other youth groups at the primary, high school and university levels, to work in partnership to form NGOCSD-NY/MUN4SDGs Action Teams. The purpose of building teams in schools is to promote working in collaborative, inclusive and gender-balanced partnerships for the development and implementation of action solutions for the SDGs that could tackle a combination of the goals and their targets, and have an impact at the community, and possibly regional and global levels as well.  

Through this Programme, the NGOCSD-NY will provide an online platform for MUN groups to connect with each other, exchange ideas and information about the SDGs and their action solution concepts. 

The NGOCSD-NY/MUN4SDGs Action Teams Programme will host bi-monthly webinars, possibly featuring high-level UN speakers, experts on the SDGs and youth leaders. The purpose of the discussions and webinars is to offer youth the opportunity to interact with stakeholders actively working on implementing solutions to the SDGs. 

In addition, the NGOCSD-NY will offer mentoring and guidance, as well as information, online resources and references to empower MUN and other youth groups wanting to learn more about developing action solutions for the SDGs. 

Through the NGOCSD-NY/MUN4SDGs Action Teams Programme, we will thus work to take the SDGs out of the UN and into the global arena, by engaging and empowering youth to work in teams and build partnerships to develop and implement action solutions for the SDGs. 

In order to register with the NGOCSD-NY/MUN4SDGs Action Teams Programme, please download and complete the Programme Application Form, and submit to us at ngocsdunc@gmail.com.

  • The subject line of your email with the completed application form attached, follows this format: MUN GROUP NAME_MUN4SDGs APPLICATION FORM

Once we have received your Application Form, we will get in touch with you to confirm your MUN group’s registration with us.
